Achyutam Keshavam Lyrics in English


Achyutam Keshavam Krishna Damodaram is a prayer praising The Lord Krishna with his different names. Achyutam means the Infallible one. Keshavam means the killer of the demon Keshi. The name Damodaram has two words - Dam means rope and udaram means waist, so the damodaram means the one who was bound on waist by rope - (refers to Lord Krishna, being tied at the waist by his mother Yashoda.

The original Sanskrit song composer is Adi  Shankaracharya, but the song popular in Hindi is Sung by Vikram Hazra.

"Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya" (যদা যদা হি ধর্মস্য) is one of the most popular verses from  Srimad Bhagavad Gita .
